Daily Pause - SADNESS

Monday

Noticing Sadness

Settle into your body and take a slow, deep breath.

Sadness often moves quietly, like a low tide beneath the day.

Today, simply notice.

Scan your body and your moments for one place where sadness rests

a dull ache,

a pause,

a feeling without words.

Silently say,

“I am allowed to feel sad.”

Let that be enough.

Tuesday

Sadness in the Body

Take a gentle breath.

Bring awareness to where sadness lives today,

behind the eyes,

in the chest,

in tired limbs,

or heavy shoulders.

There is no need to explain it.

Silently repeat,

“My body knows this feeling.”

“I can let it be here.”

Stay with it for a few breaths.

Wednesday

Sadness Without Judgment

Breathe in slowly… and release.

Notice any thought that sadness makes you

weak,

dramatic,

or behind.

Gently loosen that thought.

Silently offer yourself these words,

“Sadness is a human response.”

“I do not need to justify how I feel.”

Let softness replace resistance.

Thursday

Shared Sadness

Take a breath and remember that sadness is not yours alone.

Someone else, somewhere, is feeling this too.

Let that quiet knowing settle in your chest.

Silently say,

“I am not isolated in this feeling.”

“My sadness connects me to others.”

Allow that sense of shared humanity to ease the weight.

Friday

Sadness and Presence

Settle into this moment.

Sadness may pull your attention backward or forward.

Gently return to now.

Notice one thing you can see,

one sound nearby,

and one sensation in your body.

Now, silently repeat,

“I am here, even with sadness.”

Let the present moment hold you briefly.

Saturday

Living Gently with Sadness

Notice your breath.

Sadness does not require urgency or solutions.

Ask yourself quietly,

“What feels manageable today?”

Honor the smallest answer.

Silently say,

“I can move gently.”

“Rest is allowed.”

Let ease be enough.

Sunday

Allowing Sadness to Move

Take a deep, steady breath.

Reflect on how sadness has shifted this week

sometimes heavy,

sometimes distant,

sometimes quiet.

Notice without needing closure.

Silently offer this truth,

“Sadness can pass through me.”

“I can carry it without losing myself.”

Rest here for a few breaths.
